MA (Cantab), Mathematician; Specialist in production system  hydraulics modelling & production optimisation, Upstream Technology, BP; Refinery production optimisation; Mathematical modelling and data analysis.  Computational Fluid Dynamics of subsonic internal and external flows around automobiles and refinery plant; Chemical Engineering of distillation columns.


Hiking in the mountains and on coastal paths.  Running and swimming.  Watching movies.  Preaching and manning the church PA desk.

Dr John Wood Team Member Organist and elder, High Cross Church, Camberley


Chartered Chemist; research included synthesis of azasteroids and azomethines, and reactions of carbenes with hydrocarbons. Professional career with BP spanning research, manpower planning, job evaluation and HR database development. Retired.


Continuing interest in how chemistry can be used to enhance human wellbeing. Piano and organ playing and choral music. Walking, cycling, gardening and spending time with the grandchildren. Long-time elder at High Cross Church.

Chartered Aeronautical Engineer; Research in fluid mechanics and steam turbines; MOD scientist, technology forecasting, research management, systems analysis, computer modelling, operational analysis; Aerospace consultant; Semi retired.


Chorister at the Royal Memorial Chapel, RMA Sandhurst and Cathedral visiting with the Saint John Singers. A continuing and keen interest in scientific and technological developments.

Mrs Andrea Birkett  Team Member St Peter' Church, Farnborough.


BSc Hons Degrees in Chemistry (Bristol) and Maths (OU); five years at the Royal Aircraft Establishment,  Farnborough, in research and analysis roles:   After raising a family, now a part time  tutor of Maths, Physics and Chemistry at GCSE, and Maths at A level.


Over the years, a range of roles and responsibilities with the church community; hosting and leading a home group Bible study, liaising between the church and  overseas and UK mission links; enabling parents' prayer support for the schools and college that our children attended: Feel closest to God when enjoying the beauty of His stunning creation, spending many hours sailing, walking and birdwatching.

Graduate chemist with wide experience in chromatography and other techniques, particularly in analysis of petroleum products.   Experienced manager in a technical and industrial environment.


All sports, including playing tennis and bowls, walking and gardening. Active member of St Peter’s   Church for over forty years, including two long spells as Churchwarden.
